WHY I’M RUNNING

Angi is deeply committed to ensuring everyone in her community has the same opportunities for success. With 25 years of experience in public relations, non-profit arts marketing and development, and small business ownership, she brings a wealth of knowledge and a passion for service to her candidacy for San Antonio City Council.

Angi's journey is inspiring: she is a first-generation college graduate and a small business owner who has dedicated herself to her San Antonio community. Her partnership with the San Antonio Parks Department to provide free fitness classes and her eight years of service on the Mayor’s Fitness Council, where she currently serves as Communications Co-Chair, are just a few examples of her commitment to promoting health and wellness throughout the city. A staunch advocate for public education, Angi has held multiple leadership roles on the local PTA board, earning the Texas PTA Lifetime Membership Award and the Presidential Volunteer Service Award for three consecutive years. Her dedication extends to affordable housing, where she serves as Vice President of the non-profit Community Housing Resource Partners.

Now, Angi is running for San Antonio City Council to tackle some of the most pressing issues facing our community. She is committed to fostering safer streets, ensuring sustainable and efficient infrastructure, expanding access to affordable, high-quality childcare, and strengthening the bonds that bring our neighborhoods together.
